I'm Kate, the owner, maker, designer, packer, and tea-fuelled problem solver behind the business. Every order that leaves my shop is created by me, right here in Dorset.
Like many small businesses, Memory Metal didn't begin with a grand business plan. It started with a simple idea: our favourite photographs deserve better than sitting forgotten on a phone or hidden away in a social media album.
Photos tell the story of our lives.
They capture family holidays, beloved pets, weddings, anniversaries, newborn babies, milestone birthdays, and the everyday moments that often become the most treasured memories of all.
As someone who deeply values memories, I wanted to create products that help people enjoy those moments every day, rather than scrolling past them on a screen.
That's where Memory Metal was born.
What started as a creative hobby quickly grew into something much bigger. Friends and family began asking for personalised gifts, keepsakes, and photo displays. Before long, I found myself creating custom pieces for customers across the UK, each with its own unique story.
Today, Memory Metal specialises in personalised photo gifts and keepsakes, including metal plaques, bookmarks, magnets, coasters, notebooks, and more. Every item is carefully designed and handcrafted using your chosen photographs, turning special memories into something tangible that can be displayed, gifted, and treasured for years to come.
One of the things that matters most to me is quality. I know that the photos customers send aren't just pictures. They're often memories that can't be replaced. That's why I take great care throughout the entire process, from design and printing to pressing, finishing, packaging, and dispatch.
